The rest of the site talks about my software development skills and background. Here is some additional background.
I live in Colchester, Essex but am happy to commute to most areas of the South and East of England. Further afield, such as Ireland, would be considered for the right contract.
My interests include:
- Swimming: I train several times per week and my main focus is long distance front crawl, regularly swimming 2.5km.
- Running: I run two or three times per week, and am gradually building up my distance with the target of completing my first half-marathon in 2007.
- Weight lifting: I go to the gym a couple of times per week and am lifting weights to maintain my lean body mass – I have no intentions of getting involved in competition level weights.
- Drawing: I am teaching myself to draw, very slowly!
- Reading: I enjoy reading, particularly popular science, science fiction (not fantasy) and thrillers.
